Chocolate Covered Onions

Did you fall for our Chocolate Covered Onions Recipe, conveniently published on 1st April?

We may be in lockdown but it doesn't mean we have to lose our sense of humour, as now more than ever we need a little bit of light relief to keep us going.

To be fair though, our Chocolate Covered Onions do make the ideal April Fool's Day joke for members of the same household whilst we're all social distancing. 😏

Here's the recipe for those of you cheeky enough to try it:

Ingredients

Brown / Red Onions

Chocolate (flavour of your choice)

Chopped Nuts / Sprinkles for decorations

Cake Pop / Lollipop Sticks

Method

• Break up the chocolate and melt using either a bain marie or in short burst in the microwave - but be careful not to burn it.
  
  
• Peel the skin from the onions and insert either a cake pop stick / lollipop stick.
  
  
• If the stick is already secure then dip the onions into the melted chocolate, otherwise place the onions on a rack and pour the chocolate over them.
  
  
• Decorate using either chopped nuts or sprinkles according to preference - or whatever you have in the cupboard.
  
  
• Serve to unsuspecting loved ones on the premise that they're chocolate covered apples.🤣🤣
