Wouldn’t order again

I ordered a week before Easter and arrived a week later. Was much smaller than I was expecting, so check the size. Chocolate was okay and very pretty but not worth the price.

He loved the pizza's really and was delighted with the unusual Easter gift. So I was extremely happy. Unfortunately you were unable to deliver them probably due to high demand and my order was not dispatched until the 6th :(

Please stop badgering me for a review!

The chocolate pizza was not for me, it was a gift. I did not taste it or see it so cannot comment and wasn't going to but you keep emailing me asking me for a review, which I object to. Why is it not ok for me to buy one thing from someone on the internet and get on with my life? I will probably never have need of a chocolate pizza again but if I do I will consider your company, as I will also consider all the other makers of chocolate pizzas. Honestly, the only thing I can really say about the experience is that it arrived late; despite being ordered in good time and despite one of the USPs being the ability to deliver it on time. I wasn't going to mention it but since you keep badgering me for a review... so, now I will be interested to see how you respond. Perhaps a refund? An apology? Or is this just an expectation for customers to do labour for you? Thanks for the pizza. It arrived eventually and my friend seemed happy enough... even though it was late.

Great product but don’t buy if you need delivery quickly took 10 days to get to my relative.

Thank you for your review. Your parcel arrived within 3 working days from the date of dispatch however with the 4 day Easter bank holiday weekend, the delivery seemed to take a lot longer. I do hope the slices were enjoyed.

Poor experience

I ordered 2 eggs the Monday before Easter. They arrived the Saturday after Easter. That's almost 2 weeks later. I actually gave up and forgot I ordered them in the end. Clearly people order Easter eggs to arrive before Easter, but they only got dispatched on the Friday so really they were never going to arrive. Apparently they tasted lovely, my wife wasn't willing to share having waited so long.

We've looked into your order and can see it was dispatched to our delivery partners on the last working day prior to the Easter bank holiday, and this was in line with the date advertised at the time of ordering. This information would have been made available at both the point of checkout, and again in your order confirmation. Of course, we appreciate that people are often ordering our products for specific occasions and therefore we try to be as transparent as possible by advertising our current lead times to dispatch based on our capacity for producing hand-made gifts.

Cup of heaven

The adventure of putting a ball of chocolate into a mug and pouring hot (frothy) milk over it may have added to my experience! As the chocolate melted into the froth, little pink and white ducky marshmallows appeared in the cloud of deliciousness. I'm not a great fan of hot chocolate actually, but this was excellent.

Very good first experience

I live in Germany so was unable to complete my order on line for my nephews in the UK. I emailed my issue and was told to call and pay over the telephone. I did this and was told my order would take a little longer due to the pandemic but my Nephews received them in time for Easter and were both very happy with their Pizza’s and said they were lovely. Would order again.

Wonderful company

Unfortunately, this wasn’t bought for me! However, the friend who received it thought it was amazing and absolutely delicious. I really am going to have to treat myself to some of this company’s wonderful products. The customer service of this company is second to none, even in these difficult times. We have amended an order and even sent a chocolate pizza to Switzerland and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Extremely disappointed with delivery service!

I paid extra for fast delivery but the product arrived some days later than requested delivery date. From previous reviews this seems to be a regular occurrence. (I also placed an order with another company the following day which was able to use a courier to deliver next day!!!) Despite the excuse of Covid-19, other companies can deliver on time so why not the GCP....??? May I suggest therefore GCP Co, that you change to a more reliable delivery firm!!!!!! I will never order from GCP again as I feel the excess delivery fee I paid was gained under false pretences.

I am sorry that your order was delayed, and have contacted you to apologise directly. I have just looked at the Dpd system and delivery was made one working day after the expected date. I have asked the courier to investigate why the parcel was not delivered on the correct day. Please bear in mind that the following guidance at checkout states *Please note that whilst every effort will be made to deliver your goods on your specified date, there may be occasions where DPD have to adjust your date depending on current staffing levels during the pandemic, unfortunately this is something that is out of our control.

I ordered this for my daughter who lives 200 miles away, so with current restrictions wasn’t able to visit for Easter. Unfortunately the first order went astray and didn’t arrive. However an email to customer services was dealt with quickly and another pizza despatched straight away. It arrived just in time for Easter and my daughter was suitably surprised and delighted. She said it was delicious. It’s the first time I have used your company and I will certainly recommend you to others if they need a present that is a bit different.

Tiny !!

Looked lovely on the website, however, when it arrived the product didn't quite match the expectation !! - It was ridiculously tiny for the price paid of £10.90 including P&P - and you couldn't even tell it was a bunny sat in the middle of the egg as its ears were covered by the outer coating. Did ask to return it as unhappy with it, but seen as I was responsible for the return postage as well of a further £3.80 making a total of £14.70 paid to get £6.95 back didn't seem worth it - so I bought an alternative elsewhere and sadly the choc bunny egg didn't get given as the Easter gift intended - and is now sat in the fridge !

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment, this has been passed on to our QA department for looking into.

Need more jellybeans 8 was gutted to find only 8 in the whole pizza I may as well orderd plane. I order at Xmas time and had loads on one piece but this time not even 8 in whole pizza but apart from that the pizza chocolate was amazing

I am sorry that you felt disappoint with the number of Jelly Beans on the pizza. All of our products, while handmade, are made to a set design so that each one has exactly the same number of toppings.

I bought personal pizza with pizza slices for daughters birthday. The opinion was that although chocolate nice it didn't live up to gourmet standards. The grandchildren enjoyed pizza slices in particular the strawberry and creme, it contained popping candy also the jelly bean. So on the whole a good buy even though would have been nice if more decadent

Bought this as a gift for my daughter & her fiancé who both love honey Combe & fudge. They were disappointed that the honeycomb was not included and the fudge piece just had a few bits of fudge scattered. Loved the flaked white chocolate.

Good flavour, solid chocolate, didn't have quite the wow I expected

Great presentation in pizza boxes, well packaged so all 4 arrived unbroken with even the boxes in perfect condition. Chocolate taste really good...decent chocolate not cheap stuff...but the toppings (jelly beans, raspberries etc) were barely visible, so the pizza didn't have the visual impact it might have (and the pizzas looked fairly similar. I suggest you increase the amount of topping per pizza, even if this increases the cost slightly, and/or make sure that the toppings are more on the surface rather than submerged, so there's more of a wow when you open the box.

Ordered a chocolate pizza online for my teenage daughter's birthday. Selected ingredients I knew she would like and the pizza was here in advance of it's anticipated date. I thought we might receive the ingredients and have to make it up however, it came ready made, which was fantastic. Presentation in pizza box was a nice touch too. Daughter's tip - 30 seconds in microwave softened the bottom, much to her excitement!

Fast shipment and delicious!

I purchased these for my step-daughter as we have her Easter weekend this year and she loves hot chocolate. They arrived quickly and were well packaged (although not sure the plastic bubble tube thing they were packaged in was recyclable?). After showing them to my partner, we decided that we had to try them for quality-control purposes and ended up buying another tube so my step-daughter could actually have some - can confirm that they're absolutely delicious! The quality of the product is fantastic and the chocolate itself is wonderful. Highly recommended!!

Chocolate orange pizza

The pizza itself was a lovely gift and our son loved it. Be aware though, if you are wanting next day delivery. I paid the extra for next day delivery, made sure my order was in before 2PM like it said on their website but wasn't dispatched until the next day so arrived after our sons birthday, VERY disappointed. I certainly wouldn't not bother in future if I ordered again, to pay for next day delivery. The item item itself was fine but service from the company was not.

Amazingly unique gift, great price and delivery.

Purchased one of these for my 93 y/o auntie, who is totally fed up with flowers and the run of the mill gifts....she absolutely loved it! She has a bit of a sweet tooth, and was amazed that this sort of thing was available, she took photos of it to show me when I can visit her again after this covid thing is over, thanks for a great gift, guys! Well Received Gift

This was a gift so can’t comment on taste . It arrived on the date requested and the recipient was very pleased with it , The pizza’s and postage are quite expensive but the quality is good and they keep for much longer than a cake would. An ideal gift for lockdown when you can’t visit in person and so much better than a birthday card !

Unique products, fast delivery, taste amazing!

A very interesting product range, I actually came back for something different for mothers day. Delivery was quicker than advertised timescales. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the slice described as honeycomb did not contain any honeycomb!

Excellent service, went above and beyond!

I ordered a double dark and delicious chocolate pizza with special delivery for my daughter’s birthday. Not only did staff member Lawrence go above and beyond getting the order rushed through in time, but it arrived on a Sunday! Not sure how but they also delivered a duplicate the day after her birthday and a quick call to another lovely staff member resulted in them checking I had been charged only one payment so it was a mistake on their part. Their response? Keep it as a happy birthday from the company! Excellent customer service, can’t recommend them highly enough and I’m told that the chocolate is the best vegan chocolate she has ever had! Happy daughter 😀

I ordered this pizza for a good friend's 70th birthday as she had told me that she and her husband regularly enjoy a pizza once a week. When I rang her on her birthday she told me how pleased she was with this idea. It had arrived a day or two before, as planned, ready for the big day. Fun treat for Valentines day. Very tasty hot chocolate and bombe worked well. Only thing I would improve is to remove the white 'snow' bit of paper as they didn't look great by the time it got to us.

Disappointed

The pizza was a birthday present for my daughter,I paid the extra postage and specified the date to be delivered. You confirmed this, but then failed to fulfil my request and sent the pizza two days early!

We dispatch all our courier parcels in good faith based on next working day delivery, however for parcels dispatched on Fridays, DPD may decide to deliver your parcel earlier over the weekend to ensure your gift arrives in plenty of time. This is very much down to their discretion and may depend on their current staffing levels in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Great idea for party favours!

A very good experience

No where near as good as they used to be

Very disappointed with this. Not much variation in the flavour, very few Maltesers, less than one per piece. Not as flavoured or as well mate as they used to be, clearly hard time is mean passing cheaper product on to customers. The chocolate that the chocolate hearts were made from was also very tasteless. Not worth the money at all, in fact I would say at least 30 to 40% over price, and won’t be buying from them again, and definitely would not recommend.

Our standard delivery service via Royal Mail isn't fully tracked I'm afraid and Royal Mail only provide updates as and when a delivery attempt has been made. For a fully tracked service, we would recommend upgrading to our courier service with DPD.

Nice but could be improved

I bought this for my partner for Valentine’s Day. He has a massive sweet tooth and loves chocolate! The chocolate was nice but it was hard to tell apart the different flavours. It would be better if maybe there were stronger flavour combinations and labels on the slices so that you know what you’re eating. Apart from that, it was good quality chocolate and fast delivery with nice packaging.

I heard it did the job

I was told that the drinking chocolate turned up and was thoroughly enjoyed. I didn’t see what it looked like though as there is no pictures on the website. A bit costly at £15 for two drinking chocolate, a specially as I didn’t see what they looked like but I chose to pay it so it’s my fault. It’s a good idea when you don’t know what to send to someone as a gift.

Lovely gift idea for lockdown

I chose my own to send for a friends birthday along with a hot chocolate stick. I sent it a week early as her birthday is close to valentines day. She loved it and sent me a photo, saying it was such an original idea. She'd finished it before her actual birthday. Not as good as I’d hoped

I ordered the biggest nutty pizza with a message on the pizza and a paper message in the box. The chocolate was lovely but hardly any nuts on it considering it’s name. We had to look for them. The message was tiny in the middle of the pizza and the paper message wasn’t presented very professionally for the amount I paid. Not as good as I’ve had previously. Still a clever unusual present though and it does taste good 👍

I bought a pack of 3 chocolate bombes for my wife for Valentines Day. She says they are lovely. I’m not a massive chocolate fan myself but she gave me a sip and I have to say they make a lovely hot chocolate drink. I expect I’ll be buying these again in the future. 60th birthday present

The pizza was well received and enjoyed but I was extremely disappointed that having paid extra to have it delivered on the day it arrived two days early. During lockdown it is especially important to receive presents on the special day. If this is not possible then perhaps you should not be charging extra for a certain day delivery.

I bought this item early for a valentines gift. I opened the box 3 weeks later as I wanted to wrap the present and found the smash bottle damaged. Should have checked when it arrived. But not easier when trying to hide the delivery from your partner Lol The item was well packaged but I think the air sack used to protect the smash bottle was a bit too hard and crushed the box a little. Other than that it was a quick delivery and the correct item was delivered

Beautiful!

I bought this because I previously purchased the strawberry chocolate slice. It was one of the nicest chocolates I've ever had, so bought this for my chocoholic gaming sister for her birthday. Chocolate delicious (so I'm told) but communication poor hence 4 stars

I ordered a chocolate pizza as a Christmas gift. I placed the order on 10 December and the money was taken from my account on 11 December. The website stated that all orders were dispatched within 48 hours so I wasn't concerned that this wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas. However I didn't get an email confirming dispatch of my order and on phoning the company to check the gentleman who answered wasn't very helpful although confirmed they had my order and it should arrive in time for Christmas! I became increasingly concerned as time went on and still had no dispatch email. I emailed customer services on 18 December which was responded to several days later. However the pizza arrived on 19 December, it appeared to have been dispatched before I spoke to the gentleman so not sure why he couldn't have told me that on the phone. It was well packaged and nicely presented and the recipient said it was the nicest chocolate she had ever eaten so am pleased with my order.

Our system automatically sends out an order confirmation email with the estimated date of dispatch and this information is also available at the point of checkout. I can only apologies for any miscommunication - it was all hands on deck in the run up to Christmas and we were aware that there were some significant delays with Royal Mail deliveries, which we tried to relay to our customers as best as possible with the information we were being given at the time. I hope that this experience doesn't put you off ordering from us again in the future as we'd love to demonstrate our usual high standards of customer care with yourself.

I ordered the bombes a week before Christmas for Xmas Eve for my daughter but they did not arrive until 30th December. They were well packaged but unfortunately 2 were broken on arrival. On the plus side, my daughter really enjoyed the taste of the hot chocolate and marshmallows

Ordered as a last minute Christmas present and so didn’t really expect it to arrive on time but it came on the date expected. Very well packaged and the recipient loved it. The only criticism would be there was no instructions on how to use them. I would certainly buy from the company again.

Nothing special.

Bought 2 packs for Christmas for my husband. Seemed like a great idea and they look good as present. Delivered promptly and very securely packaged. The hot chocolate itself is as good as any hot chocolate so in my opinion paying £3. 50 per cup is not worth it. The marshmallows melt away entirely. Overall a bit disappointing.

Impressive gift for all

I wondered how these would arrive through the post in one piece, however when the package arrived they were snuggled beautifully into their very own inflatable jacket. The process of warming the milk then pouring over the bomb until the chocolate melts and releases the hidden marshmallows is so much fun for all ages. Highly recommend.

Disappointed

I bought these for my daughter for Xmas as she has always wanted them but when I finally received them , although they were packaged adequately the bombes were still broken. So as you can imagine I was disappointed, not only because they were broken but it was too late to order a replacement in time for my daughter. I emailed the company but as it was Xmas they never replied until January. They never offered a replacement they just refunded me my money back.

I've looked into your order and can see the bombes were delivered on the 24th December, at which point we had already closed for our annual Christmas shutdown. I'm sure you can appreciate our team works exceptionally hard for 51 weeks of the year and this is the only time the factory fully closes to ensure everyone has a well-deserved rest before the New Year begins. As soon as we reopened w/c 4th January, a member of the customer service team got in touch in repsonse to your email to help rectify this issue for you and as this was supposed to be a gift for Christmas, a refund was offered and accepted.

Great product, pity about delivery

The chocolate pizza was delicious and much appreciated. However, I paid extra for a named day delivery - my son's 50th birthday so a special one - but the pizza did not arrive until late the day after. That was a great let-down.

Good products, slow delivery

I bought a few bits including the hot chocolate bombes as a Christmas present for my partner. They seem to have gone pretty quick so can only assume they are good. The only issue I can think of was postage options were a little limited. I ordered it on the 12th December and it was not due to arrive until the 24th December unless I paid for express delivery. Nearly 2 weeks for standard delivery seems crazy in today's world when I can get most things same day or next day delivery but it is not the end of the world and everything turned out fine.

The extended lead times for standard delivery were imposed due to a backlog in the Royal Mail Parcel system, following the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend. To ensure our customers were made aware of any potential delays, we increased the lead times for delivery to reflect the potential of up to 10 working days from the date of dispatch, despite all parcels in this service being dispatched by Royal Mail First Class. Please note our usual estimate for this service is 2-5 days, however parcels often arrive earlier than this time frame.

We rang the order in and I can only say how the man we spoke to dealt with our request superbly, especially as the addresses were Welsh ones and not ones familiar to our English ears. All the recipients have said how good the hampers were and they were delighted to be remembered in this way. Headway is for people who have suffered Brain Injury whether by traumatic accident or ill health.

Delivery Company

I was told by delivery company dpd that I would receive my on on the 15th December, order never arrived. When tracking my order on the dpd said I was unavailable (I was at home all day) and would be delivered on 16th December, no order delivered. Received email saying they had missed me and would be delivered on the 17th December. Received email on the 17th to say they had missed me and to check my delivery options. I had to find a number of their customer services department only to find out my order was at their Cambuslang Depot and arrange another delivery. I finally received my order on the 19th December with the boxes bashed, fortunately the contents were ok. I would think twice about placing any more orders if the couriers were dpd. The pizzas were delicious.

All of the delivery providers were placed under extreme pressure in the run up to Christmas, due to the large increase in parcels being sent their way in the wake of the pandemic. Unfortunately, this was something that was out of our control, and potentital dispruptions to deliveries were advertised at multiple customer touch points across both our website and social media channels, when we became aware of the situation. Best Hot Chocolate going

We bought our daughter 3 bombes for her Birthday earlier in the year and she liked them so much, we ordered some more bombes, the big bang bombes and 4 hot chocolate sticks for Christmas as a treat now and then. We'll go off her verdict and can report that these make the best hot chocolate going and the theatre around pouring the hot milk onto them and waiting for the "explosion" of marsh mallows adds to it. Our initial order was placed after seeing reviews of other Companies' offerings say they had the theatre but the taste wasn't great and were bitter but reviews of the GCP Co ones were all good and they weren't wrong. Possibly not the cheapest but there's a reason for that. You won't be disappointed.

Product was perfect, slight delay in delivery but company called me to let me know and provide the best solution for me. As it happened, the delay wasn't a problem however was massively impressed to be kept in the loop and offered solutions. Thought this excellent because, not only was the delay minimal, they could of taken the option to just be a little slow, but instead took the time to be open, honest and pro-active. Only rated 4 stars due to the postal time. Took a lot longer than it stated, aware Xmas and Covid could have affected that but new customers need to be aware and maybe give extra time for orders to reach them. Very disappointed with delivery that took 2 weeks

The delivery took 2 weeks to arrive totally missing the birthday date planned for. The product was acceptable.

Hi Kathryn, we're sorry to hear that your gift didn't arrive on time. I've looked into your order and can see that it was dispatched by ourselves on the 1st December and subsequently delivered by Royal Mail on the 9th December, which was 6 working days after the date of dispatch. The estimated dispatch date would have been available at both the time of ordering and on your email confirmation to ensure you were given as much information as possible when placing your order. Unfortunately, our delivery partners over at Royal Mail were swamped with deliveries following the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend and then the subsequent lead up to Christmas, at which point we began advising customers that deliveries via this method may take up to 10 working days from the date of dispatch, due to circumstances out of our control.

a bit of a disappointment!

Ordered this for my daughter to cheer her up on a lockdown birthday. I ordered the white chocolate pizza but the one received was milk chocolate. Also arrived a day late in spite of paying extra for named day delivery. A bit of a disappointment!

Hi Amanda, many thanks for your feedback and we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. The pizza you ordered was the Happy Birthday for Her product which does indeed have a milk chocolate base but is topped with white chocolate curls, as specified in our product description on the website. With regards to the delivery, whilst we understand this is frustrating, it is unfortunately this was something that was out of our control. DPD, along with all delivery services were under a great deal of pressure in the run up to Christmas with an exceptionally high volume of parcels going through their system. Wherever possible, we did try to highlight the issue of potential delays across multiple customer touchpoints on the website and on our social media pages to ensure as many customers were informed of this.

Excellent service

I purchased two separate gifts. The first was delivered, no problem. The second, however was stopped at the port of Jersey with incorrect documents. I contacted the company and the response was instant, they rectified the delivery and it was delivered perfectly. Unfortunately for me I don’t know what the chocolates taste like but the customer service is fantastic.

RUBBISH - WRONG PRODUCT SENT!!!!!

I ordered among other items a New Chocolate Pizza Hamper for my brother and his wife for the last Christmas they are likely to be together as my brother is seriously ill. I ordered these items late November but only opened the packaging yesterday as I was going to Christmas wrap the gifts. It turns out I have been sent the Chocolate Cafe Hamper which is NOT what I ordered. I contacted the customer service no. this morning and got a very unhelpful guy on the phone who basically said I need to send a photo of the wrong product as proof of the error their end. So basically accused me of being a liar!!!!!!!!!! I have bought many products from this company over the last few years but am sure that my last purchase will be my LAST PURCHASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointing service

Disappointed that I paid extra to ensure delivery on the date I wanted as it was a birthday gift but this did not happen and was delivered the following day. Emailed the company to ask if entitled to a refund of postage costs but no reply 3 weeks later. Can’t comment on the pizza as it was a gift so didn’t see it.

All the delivery services were under a great deal of pressure in the run up to Christmas, with a high volume of parcels going through their system, meaning that unfortunately some were delivered slightly later than originally planned. Pizza too sickly sweet

Christmas order

I forgot to order something and when I rang I was able to add it straightaway without additional delivery charge. Very helpful. Delivery was speedy. Only one small comment, and that is that the personalised disk in the centre of one of the pizzas had come loose and detached itself from the pizza. I couldn't do anything about it as it was a Christmas gift (as indeed all the items were) and couldn't open the box.

Fantastic!

This was a gift for my parents anniversary. They were delighted with the gift. Movie nights here I come!

I ordered 4 tubes of popcorn. They were neatly delivered, fairly promptly in a cardboard box with scrunched paper padding. As some of the order is for Christmas presents I will be using the box and padding to forward on to them. The progress of order e-mails ensured I remembered to have a carrier bag at work to pick up my order from my regular, "bricks and mortar", central admin office. Very impressed!

Bought the crunchy munchy for my husband's birthday as he's a fan of both fudge and brownie. It was perfect, although I worried maybe the 10* was a bit big for just the 2 of us. It went down a treat! I loved the packaging and each slice was about the size of a bar of chocolate so within a few days it was done. Chocolate was good quality too! Can't fault it, would highly recommend.
