Sometimes you are just looking for a recipe with a difference, or a crazy combination of ingredients, or something that just sounds yummy. Well I came across this one here, Apple Nachos with caramel sauce, drizzled melted chocolate, and a few other ingredients. I tried it with the boys and my lovely husband sitting at our table on the patio and picking at it, we loved it..let me know what you think!
By the way I am sharing the recipe from www.nutmegnanny.com - thank you!
2 Large apples
2 tbsp chopped roasted almonds
2 tbsp of chocolate chips
2 tbsp unsweetened toasted coconut
Slice apples thinly and toss in the lemon juice to stop them going brown. Arrange on a platter.
Gently warm the caramel and the Nutella seperately and drizzle on top, I used the caramel cold and warmed the nutella - lovely!
Sprinkle the rest of the toppings on top.
Best eaten immediately.
